Michael "Jeff" Smalley: The Softball King

Michael “Jeff” Smalley was born June 2, 1958, to Annie Ruth Smalley and McKinley Jones, who preceded him in death. Between his mother and father, Michael had 13 siblings, eight of whom preceded him in death.
Michael received his education in the Chicago Public School system. In his formal years, Michael played softball for the Van Dykes and later the Mighty Men at Washington Park, where he was inducted into the softball hall of fame. Michael loved being around family and didn’t miss a chance to party. He loved to “step” and get down on the dance floor. Michael loved music. He was admired for his sense of humor, always lighting up the room with a smile or a joke. Click his program cover to view his complete obituary program.
